The thrill of the race

Since 2008 we've worked closely with the team at Silverstone to promote the prestigious Formula 1, building on the circuit’s reputation as the 'Home of the British Grand Prix'. F1 is Silverstone's Blue Riband event and has an important halo effect on their retail offering, particularly when it comes to selling driving experiences. Our work with Silverstone has impacted on more than just the creative look and feel of the F1 campaign and gift sales, our strategic advice has helped shape the customer experience with the introduction of volunteer 'Race Makers' made in 2012, with reams of our creative work (9 years worth!) seen across a multitude of promotions and events.  

This year we produced a powerful visual concept which perfectly dramatised the energy and lightening speed of the event. We manipulated a Darren Heath image enhancing the Britishness through a red, white and blue colourway. Arguably a more abstract approach than had been seen before, it supported the venue to sell out of race day tickets. The creative concept was applied across all of this year's F1 promotional and race day materials.
